I came across this event from Denis, a good friend of mine, someone who has been training for years, and also a Stanford Alumni. We used to train at Fairtex together but I think that he still goes back to Stanford o train with their club every now and then. I think that it is awesome that they have an MT club there and are putting on an event for the school to see. I know when I was in college there was one gym in town but it was only open a few hours a night, so a bunch of us would go to the school wrestling room and train on their mats but we never coordinated a legit club.
If you are in college and money is tight, this would be the way to go and train for cheap. So if you don’t have a Muay Thai club yet, go get motivated and try to start one, I bet you will be surprised at how many people would want to join.
Sorry to go out on a rant but I think it is great that Stanford has a MT club.
Here are the details for the event coming up this Friday, April 3rd.
