It seems like Evolution put on a great show last night. I have found some pictures of the event online so enjoy these for now while I try to find some of the fights to post.
I wanna give props to the person that took these pictures and posted them, so thanks Scott Mcalinden. I would have posted his website but I could not find it for you guys, I am sure he has more great shots from the night.
Here is a clip from The Web Show about this event and the Carnage fight highlights are not until the6:54 mark.
2. 5×2 FTR/100+kg(220 lbs+): Thor defeats Cedric
3. 5×2 FTR/65kg(143 lbs): Taylor Harvey defeats Mark Sarracino by point decision
5. 5×3 FTR/69kg(151.8 lbs): Preacher defeats Wolf WMC (Thailand) by point decision
6. 5×3 FTR/70kg(154 lbs): Soren defeats Sean Wright (Scotland) by TKO in the fifth round. Apparently this was a great fight and turned into a elbow fest in the fifth and the fight was called due to a cut on Sean. As you can tell from the picture up top, that is one gnarly cut that Soren gave Sean.
7. 5×3 FTR/86kg(189.2 lbs): Carnage defeats Manue in the second round by TKO
8. 5×3 FTR/72.5kg(159.5 lbs): Mardsue {Tum}(Thailand) defeats JWP by unanimous point decision. From what I hear Tum worked his great clinch game to counter JWP’s hands and actually ended up dumping him over 10 times.
The Contender Asia Season 2 is taking place in Malaysia this year and the contestants are almost finalized. I took this picture from the Contender Asia fan club site and you can get a good idea of who will be in this seasons show. I am hoping that this year we will be able to catch it here in the states. I know last year they showed it on the versus channel on Thursday at 6:00PM. I would always rush home from work to catch the show but because it was on so early I missed a lot of the show.
I believe there is one spot on the show left and I think it will be another fighter from Malaysia but I am unsure. Here are the 15 fighters they have lined up right now and you should recognize a few names on the list.
Paulo Balicho ( Switzerland )
Bernard Radin ( Malaysia )
Rafi Zouhier ( Spain )
Pak-Wing Heung ( Hong Kong )
Jordan Watson ( U.K. )
Eli Madigan ( Australia )
Bakhulule Baai ( Africa )
Marcus Oberg ( Sweden )
Levin Artem ( Russia )
Marco Piqué ( Netherlands / Suriname )
Saro Presti ( Italy )
Cedric Muller ( France )
Khem Fairtex ( Central Thailand )
Jesse Miles ( Canada )
Singsiri Por Sirichai ( South Thailand )
Here are some clips of the fighters:

Although Singiri does not win it is a good fight.
Here is a clip of Marcus Oberg vs. one of the previous contenders, Dzhabar.
Here is an event that takes place about every month in Inglewood, CA at Hollywood Park Casino. From what I understand these are pro-am fights but they are mostly Amateur and they are put on by Dennis Warner, In Sync Productions Inc., & Ed Hardy Jewelry. These fights are taking place on April 25th and from the flyer it seems like they will be televised. I wish all the events up here were televised. Whenever Contender Asia is on I am always stoked to watch it.
Here is the tenative fight card:

While I know this event is not in California, I think that it is sort of my job to keep us Muay Thai enthusiasts up to speed with good shows coming up. This card is in Australia and if you follow the Contender Asia you will recognize some of the fighters. JWP, Soren, and Sean Wright are all on this card along with some other great fighters. I will try to post the results after this weekend because these fights will be good. I am looking forward to the Sean Wright vs. Soren fight personally. I know they have both been training a lot in Thailand recently but I think I am going to give it to Sean all the way.
Here are the event details:
The date is set for Evolution 16. On April 4th Australia’s favorite sons will come together under one roof to fight it out for ultimate glory. All three of the last shows have been sold out events and organizers are asking fans to get their seats early to avoid disappointment.
The Sleeman Centre in Chandler will attempt to contain the raw power of Nathan Carnage, the technique of John Wayne Parr and the brut determination of the preacher. The problem will be choosing the main event with the status and experience of these three warriors. A win at Evolution in any weight class throws you to the top of Australian Muay Thai, and fighters’ world wide take notice.
Soren Eminent Air… NTG will come back from campaigning in Thailand once again to put Sean Wright in his place. The lady pleaser Dane DADDY KOOL will be looking to start the year off well with another devastating knock-out and the always exciting Mark Sarracino will be looking for another war.
A heavy-weight battle between the camps of Boonchu and NTG has been matched to shake the ground; this fight will feature Thor v Cedric. The Gods of Muay Thai will be watching on closely on April 4 to see which of their sons is most deserving.
And here is the fight Card:
1. 5×2 FTR/61kg(134.2 lbs): Mikie Thomohawk vs Chris Petrie
2. 5×2 FTR/100+kg(220 lbs+): Cedric vs Thor
3. 5×2 FTR/65kg(143 lbs): Mark Sarracino vs Taylor Harvey
4. 5×3 FTR/57.3kg(126.06 lbs): Daddy Cool vs Arron TS2
5. 5×3 FTR/69kg(151.8 lbs): Preacher vs Wolf WMC (Thailand)
6. 5×3 FTR/70kg(154 lbs): Soren vs Sean Wright (Scotland)
7. 5×3 FTR/86kg(189.2 lbs): Carnage vs T.B.A
8. 5×3 FTR/72.5kg(159.5 lbs): JWP vs Mardsue {Tum}(Thailand)
Here is a clip from a previous Evolution card JWP vs Sean Wright.
I heard a rumor that there was an event in the works for another World Combat Sports Challenge show in San Francisco in May. I checked out their website and found this poster saying that it will be held at the Kezar Pavilion on May 30th.
From what I heard they do not have the card finalized yet but I am sure you can expect a good show. When I find out who is going to be on this card I will post an update for this event. The one thing I was hoping that WCSC would change for their events is the venue. I am not a big fan of the Kezar Pavilion because it is pretty much just a High School gym. But hey, I would rather take a great event at a high school gym than no event. I am not sure how long this promotion has been around but I think it has been picking up more and more followers as the more events they put on.
Here is a clip of some highlights from one of their events. Don’t worry these guys are not that quick, they clip is speed up some. This is a simple camera trick that a lot of martial arts flicks do to make their scenes look better and more action packed.
Here is one fight that I found from one of there many events.
Once I get some more information on this event I will send out a new post.
